In June we took a trip to England with the Clemson Pres Inkling’s group. I had a little free time to write this song. Enjoy!
Inkling’s Day
On the cliffs and the rocks I began to walk.
On the side of a hill on ole` Tintagel
With a view of a cave, and a lovely maid.
With such beauty as I can barely tell.
Chorus:
Come away, on an Inkling’s Day
Lewis, Tolkien, buses, trains and hot tea.
Oh, street side walking, people talking, football by the bay.
On this glorious, amazing Inkling’s Day.
So we packed in a van, and drove across the land.
Every hedge looming as we go.
Oh great, a straight away, now I feel OK.
`Til we round a curve and all cry out…OH NO! (Chorus)
Each day we would see, just what the weather might be.
Prepared to wear a coat all the day.
Can you put the windows down, and pass the sun screen around.
Hey, would you like to go and see a Minack play?
Chorus x2
